INSIGHT 2019 Recap

Insight 2019 was the most rockin' weekend of the service year! We had 85 attendees from 9 different clubs in attendance. This was our largest turnout in a few years with a 30% increase in attendance from last year!

On Friday night, the attendees were split up into their instrument themed teams and to kick off the weekend they created their album covers and team chants. Later that evening, we enjoyed ourselves with some karaoke and kept warm by the bonfire while we ate some s'mores. Saturday we started the day with our ropes course where members had the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zone by participating in different challenges such as the trust fall and climbing over the wall. On Saturday afternoon, we had our scavenger hunt, where teams ran around the campsite searching for games such as an obstacle course, musical charades, and the lyric balloon pop. The final game of the scavenger hunt was the rockstar competition where teams dressed up one of their members like their favorite rockstar.

After the scavenger hunt, we participated in a service project. Members helped out around the camp by cleaning windows, planting trees, and painting bridges. Stockton Circle K, our host club hosted our musical jeopardy tournament which was very enjoyable. Our Saturday evening festivities concluded with our annual candlelight ceremony, and of course the most anticipated event of the weekend: The Final Jam. Teams got the chance to showcase their performances that they practiced all weekend, shoutout to Team Drums for being the winners of the Final Jam!

Sunday morning we had our closing session in which our winning team was announced. Congratulations to Team Pianos! Our weekend concluded with our annual fundraiser, which this year was a food fight fundraiser! We raised a total of $2,400 which was split between DCON costs and the WASH project! Thank you to all our members who tortured our district board members for their donations.

A huge Thank you to Camp Lebanon for their delicious food, hospitality and for being so accommodating, to the Kiwanis committee and advisors for all their support, to Stockton Circle K for being such a great host club, to our International Trustee Jose Leoncio for joining us and experiencing the Jersey energy, to the Insight Committee for all their hard work, and of course to all our members who attended and contributed to making this such a successful and memorable weekend.
